Word has it Eddie Hearn is at it again is on the brink of landing another title fight this time for European Middleweight champion Darren Barker. Hoping to land his first world title at the expense of former WBC Champ Argintine Sergio Martinez. Earlier this week Hearn and Martinez promoter Lou DiBella spoke briefly of a possible bout ans earlier this evening DiBella said "I want to beat European champion" and king martinez tweeted "let's do it". Both camps have been at the HBO head quarters since around 8:30pm and within the last few minutes it looks like a date has been penciled for October 1st, Hearn and DiBella are finalising the boring stuff like venues and purses.
This is going to be huge for Darren Barker's career and for british Boxing. certainly the toughest fight for Darren but have faith and he will become the 6th current British world champion. I will follow this up as soon as there's more news from either camp
