Bragging Rights

Frank Maloney has announced hit debut fight night for the new boxing season. Another domestic trifle with Bantamweight rivals providing the sprinkles on top of a packed card which sees the long awaited return of Olympic Bronze medallist Tony Jeffries.

Stuart Hall (11-0-1) at 31 years old bantamweight British champion v (17-2-1) European champion Jamie McDonnell headline the showcase with all the domestics title you could shake a wooden spoon at up for grabs on September 3rd at the Doncaster Dome.

This bite size rivalry has been ongoing for some time now with both fighters saying “come and get me” but nothing really came of it until now. Well worth the wait as Jamie McDonnell will set out to prove you can indeed teach an old dog new tricks whilst Stuart hall has plenty of bite left to make this one a classic.

Following the success of the summer bash at the Stadium of Light last weekend where Maloney’s Jon Lewis Dickinson picked up the Northern Area title in a thrilling 10 round battle with David Dolan, Frank Maloney is not wasting any time and already set pen to paper and made all the right calls to make the fans fight.

Boxing fans have wanted this fight to happen almost as much as Hall and McDonnell in this best of the best smash ‘em up.

Tony Jeffries returns to the UK after his training camp in LA’s Rock Gym with world class trainer Tommy Brookes. Tony is said to be in the best shape of his life, yes a cliché but believe me when I say “there must be something in the water in Palm Springs” because he really is in great shape.

Another big night of Sky Sports Boxing from Frank Maloney on what has to be one of the best years in recent times for domestic boxing.
